About BackupStoragePrices
BackupStoragePrices is an independent reference for people choosing object storage for backups. It is built for readers who want to audit the number, not just see a winner.

The question this site answers
The site asks what object storage costs for a backup workload and for the restore that makes the backup useful. A storage-only comparison can pick the wrong winner because network egress, retrieval, operations, minimums and policy limits may dominate the recovery event.
Backblaze ties free egress to three times average monthly storage. Wasabi applies a free-egress fair-use guideline, a 1 TB minimum billable capacity and a 90-day minimum storage duration. Cloudflare R2 publishes free egress but meters Class A and Class B operations. Publishing principles
Every displayed price should be traceable to a public source and retrieval time. Missing information stays visible as an explicit state. Only comparable offers rank, and the site declines to name a winner when the inputs do not support one.
Estimates are directional, not invoices. Vendor billing systems, account terms and taxes control the amount actually charged. The methodology states which public inputs are included and which private or buyer-specific amounts are excluded.
The site charges visitors nothing. Providers do not pay for inclusion or ranking position, and there is no paid-listing plan. Vendor links exist so readers can verify the evidence. Any commercial relationship attached to a link must be disclosed next to that link and cannot alter the calculation.
Independent operation
BackupStoragePrices is operated independently by Adrian Nutiu as a solo operator. It is not a vendor publication or a team-run testing lab.
The site does not claim that the operator has used, tested or benchmarked the listed storage services. Conclusions come from public pricing and billing documentation, with source links and retrieval dates.

Sales pitches and private quotes are not evidence for the public comparison. A vendor can still point to a current public page or official feed when a listed fact is wrong.
