On a 10 TB backup, Wasabi costs less in every month we priced, from a quiet month to restoring all 10 TB, by $66.72 to $1,043.92 a month. Each vendor is priced on its cheapest class for each month, however long that class takes to read; the bills below keep the class each one names.
Both sides use the same numbers, and the bills follow as you type. Files, requests, download speed and restore deadlines use the calculator defaults.

Each bill is the vendor's cheapest class with a complete total for that month. 1 TB, 10 TB and 50 TB kept; a tenth, a tenth and a twentieth downloaded in a normal month; everything downloaded in the month you restore. The lower bill in each pair of columns is underlined.
Downloads: free downloads up to the amount stored.
Minimums: 90-day minimum per object; bills at least 1 TB a month.
Where the data sits: United States (US East 1).
From the vendors' published rules
Recovery policy: AWS publishes a numeric internet-egress schedule after a fixed allowance. Wasabi charges no egress fee, under a fair-use guideline of the amount stored.
Retention behavior: S3 Standard has no minimum duration. Wasabi has a 90-day minimum that applies when young objects are deleted, overwritten, moved, or transitioned.
Downloads up to the amount you store each month are within Wasabi's free-egress guideline. Wasabi charges no download fee beyond it either, but regularly downloading more than you store can get an account limited or suspended.
Wasabi charges nothing for downloads at any volume. A month in which you download more than you store is outside its free-egress guideline, and Wasabi says that if your use exceeds the guideline on a regular basis it may limit or suspend the service.
