Cloudflare R2 vs Scaleway Object Storage: which costs less for backups

On a 10 TB backup, Scaleway Object Storage costs less until the month you restore about 4.5 TB; from there Cloudflare R2 (Standard) costs less. Each vendor is priced on its cheapest class for each month, however long that class takes to read; the bills below keep the class each one names. Scaleway Object Storage's prices are in euros, converted at $1.1181 per euro, the European Central Bank's reference rate of 12 October 2026.

  • Downloads: no download fees.
  • Minimums: Standard, no minimum; Infrequent Access, 30-day minimum per object.
  • Where the data sits: Automatic location.

Scaleway Object Storage

  • Downloads: the first 75 GB of downloads free each month.
  • Minimums: no minimum duration published.
  • Where the data sits: France (Paris).
  • Object Lock: supported.
