Amazon S3 Glacier Deep Archive: each file must be restored before you can download it, which takes up to 12 hours, and Amazon S3 bills each file for at least 180 days.

Scaleway Object Storage Glacier: each file must be restored before you can download it (Scaleway publishes no time for it), and Scaleway publishes no minimum storage period.

Oracle OCI Object Storage Archive: each file must be restored before you can download it (Oracle says the first byte comes back within an hour, but not when the whole file is ready), and Oracle bills each file for at least 90 days.

Questions buyers ask about Scaleway Object Storage

What is Scaleway Object Storage in US dollars?

Scaleway publishes these offers in euros only, with no US dollar price. To rank Scaleway beside vendors that price in dollars, we convert its euro prices at the European Central Bank's euro reference rate, and every converted bill names that rate and its date.

Does Scaleway publish a small-object or early-deletion billing floor?

No. Minimum object size, minimum duration, and early-deletion method are not published. Scaleway recommends Glacier for objects larger than 1 MB, but that is advice, not a published billing minimum, and we do not treat it as one.

Can I use Scaleway Object Storage as an immutable target?

Yes, conditionally. Scaleway documents S3 Object Lock for Standard Multi-AZ, Standard One Zone, and Glacier. Versioning is required and cannot be suspended after Object Lock is enabled. The checked guide does not publish a numeric maximum retention or name an immutable-backup integration.
