Telnyx Cloud Storage pricing for backup storage
Telnyx Cloud Storage has materially different US and EU bills. US storage and request allowances make modest backup workloads inexpensive, while EU storage and operations start billing from the first unit. Both regions publish free egress, no retrieval charge, and a 4 KiB storage billing granularity.
Price your own workload against every vendor, including the worst-day restore and how long it takes to come back.
What the pricing page does not lead with
US allowances do not apply to the EU Central offer.
Applying the US free bands to an EU bucket materially understates both storage and operations.
Source, checked 2026-07-25T15:34:44ZStorage is metered in GiB and rounded in 4 KiB units.
Decimal GB arithmetic and logical object bytes can both differ from the billed quantity.
Source, checked 2026-07-25T15:34:44ZFree egress does not eliminate operation charges.
US reads above 10 million and all modeled EU reads remain billable.

Minimum duration and early-deletion treatment are not published in the checked billing material.
A delete or overwrite estimate must remain not published instead of assuming a zero remainder.

Worked bills
Each one states its inputs and every line, so the total can be checked rather than trusted. A state stays a word and is never counted as zero.
US restore above all three monthly allowances$6.52
Region: us-east-1 · Storage GiB: 1,000 · Internet egress GiB: 1,000 · Class a operations: 2,000,000 · Class b operations: 12,000,000 · Mutation: none; read-only restore

| Storage after 10 GiB free | $5.94 |
|---|---|
| 1 million Class A overage | $0.50 |
| 2 million Class B overage | $0.08 |
| Internet egress and retrieval | not charged |
| Early deletion | does not apply |
| Total | $6.52 |
Storage = (1,000 - 10) x $0.006 = $5.94. Class A = (2,000,000 - 1,000,000) / 1,000 x $0.0005 = $0.50. Class B = (12,000,000 - 10,000,000) / 1,000 x $0.00004 = $0.08. Egress and retrieval are not charged. Total = $5.94 + $0.50 + $0.08 = $6.52.
The same restore in EU Central$39.80

| State-changing operations | $10.00 |
| Read operations | $4.80 |
| Internet egress and retrieval | not charged |
| Early deletion | does not apply |
| Total | $39.80 |
Storage = 1,000 x $0.025 = $25.00. State-changing operations = 2,000,000 / 1,000 x $0.005 = $10.00. Reads = 12,000,000 / 1,000 x $0.0004 = $4.80. Egress and retrieval are not charged. Total = $25.00 + $10.00 + $4.80 = $39.80.

Telnyx publishes the storage meter but the checked billing material does not publish a minimum duration or early-deletion method. The scenario therefore does not create a remainder or reuse another provider's rule. A read-only restore would keep early deletion does not apply.
Every class, and the rules that change its bill
2 classes captured for this vendor. Each rule below is a published condition that moves a real line on the bill, with the page it came from.
Regular Storage6 rules
S3-compatible regular storage for US-region backups that benefit from Telnyx's US free allowances.
| Rule | Value | Why it moves the bill |
|---|---|---|
| US storage | First 10 GiB free, then $0.006 per GiB-month | The free storage band applies only to the US offer. |
| US Class A operations | 1 million free monthly, then $0.0005 per 1,000 | Writes and listings use a separate allowance from reads. |
| US Class B operations | 10 million free monthly, then $0.00004 per 1,000 | Large restore object counts can cross the read allowance even though egress is free. |
| Storage billing granularity | 4 KiB | Each object consumes storage in 4 KiB billing units, so many 1 KiB objects are billed as four times their logical payload. |
| Internet egress and retrieval | not charged | Restore bytes add neither an egress nor retrieval line, but Class B operations can remain. |
| Minimum duration and early-deletion method | not published | The checked billing page does not support treating an early mutation as free. |
Regular Storage6 rules
S3-compatible regular storage for EU-region backups when EU placement is required.
| Rule | Value | Why it moves the bill |
|---|---|---|
| EU storage | $0.025 per GiB-month with no published free storage allowance | The US 10 GiB free tier is not eligible in EU Central. |
| EU state-changing operations | $0.005 per 1,000 with no published free allowance | The EU write rate is ten times the modeled US overage rate and starts from the first operation. |
| EU read operations | $0.0004 per 1,000 with no published free allowance | The US 10 million read allowance is not eligible in EU Central. |
| Storage billing granularity | 4 KiB | Small objects can raise billable GiB before the EU storage rate is applied. |
| Internet egress and retrieval | not charged | The regional storage and operation differences remain even though transfer and retrieval are free. |
| Minimum duration and early-deletion method | not published | No early-deletion dollar result is supported by the checked source. |
